I ran an out of the box 179182 bw under a 72vgt.
It spooled really quick with the 1.25 ar and 87mm turbine.
The 96 turbine would be best at sea level........but if you are going to denver than build it as such.

Curious how an s480 over my 72 would be? I know the more common setup is an 83 o 72 but I don't have the fuel to make the most of that setup. Would an 80 give me quicker spool and still make the same power since I am fuel limited?

The spool is in the back side

We have ran a 75 and a 80 against the 83 billet and we could not feel a difference in spool between the 80 and 83 billet this was on a cr cummins as a single. I think the 83 would be just fine

So question relating to the turbine side to help spool up, and I can't find this answer anywhere, been thorough a lot of threads looking for the answer plain and simple so I don't have to interpret anything.

Why don't people run a right A/R housing and just run two small gates, or a large gate, over it?

I'm no expert but I would guess it is just cheaper and easier to build the kits without gates.

Yea I figured that much, but I mean if money wasn't a factor, would that be the way to go?

If you want good bottom and street manners yes a wastegate is a good option.
If you want to spray yes a wastegate is a good option.

If you want maximum drive then no a wastegate is a waste.
You want the big turbine or/and loose a/r housing.
