Not to bad at least the D-Max showed what it can do against all the built Cummins

ya but the Dmaxes had the ingredients to do much better if Matt would have finished as high in the sled pull as he could have he would have been 3rd i believe , he beat out the stroker on the strip and trailor tow i believe . oh well hopefully we get some good choices for next year . i think a dmax will dominate next year , we had the trucks to do it this year if they would have been chosen .

congrats to Jason and Matt they will walk away from this with some great memories , its something not to many people get the chance to do

No doubt the system they use to select the trucks is stupid, built trucks vers stockers is kinda a give away, but after what tomac did to them for 2 years I don't blame them one bit

dont know much except Matt didnt turn his lift pump on and died 1/2 way down the track :banging: and took last place in the sled pull .

They only give once chance at the sled pull now?

Ryan Flies got 6th from what he told me. He is a Dodge customer of mine and I believe he was the only manual transmission in the competition. He won the sled pull after pulling a all-nighter changing out the experimental triple disk clutch from South Bend he fried the first day of competition trying to drag race. He had to pull the double disk out of his tow truck and swap it in his competition truck sometime after midnight.

The DPC was an awesome experience! Met a bunch of badass people and had a lot of fun! The truck made it all the way through without breaking so i can drive it home. But the sled pull killed me. Stupid electric lift pumps it was annoying me so i shut it off while i was tuning the TCM to lock out fifth gear and didn't turn it back on. I had to switch out the MITUSA for a FASS a couple weeks before because of the dual fuelers.

i think he tried and could not get ahold of Opie to get one . i know of three people wanting Mitsua's but cant get them from him ? there is a thread in hard parts .

Well I just finished another exhausting cross country trip. The single cab made it the whole way without an issue, i never thought a 700 hp truck could be reliable and streetable enough to actually pull it off. The power challenge was such a blast! The trailer tow seemed very intimidating but it was the funnest event of them all! I wish i could do it all again!

we will see if purple parts go back in his trans , how is he getting home ?

dont know the details just that the trans severly overheated ( like 250-300 deg during the drive home and he had to stop .
