Anyone know much about what is going on for this upcoming years Diesel Power Challenge. I hear a lot of people entered, does anyone know more. I hope it is another good year and maybe a Duramax will win again.....

Maybe this time that magazine with all the ads in it will let three Duramaxs compete. We know they won't reward the competitors for beating on their trucks, and that's the sad part. I let my subscription go despite 100 notices sent to my house. Not giving them another dime.

I get a subscription with my NHRDA membership, and I always enjoy reading about the DPC. I also enjoyed it when I got to be on IdahoRob's pit crew when he competed a few years ago. I would like to compete in it if I had something to enter with.

Only difference between dpc and a normal drag race or dyno day or sled pull or daily drive is that you generally have to pay to compete and you don't get in the magazine.

you are forgetting the DPC politics that follows,im all for guys competing but last year when they told Andrew 03badmaxxx that he couldn't compete because he worked for Sun Coast that put the nail in the coffin for me.

See the problem I have with last year in particular is how everything went down with Andrew. I may be mistaken (someone please correct me if so) but Andrew was working for Suncoast at the time of his entry into the voting process correct? If the reason he was not allowed to compete had to do with his employment @ Suncoast, should he not have even been in the voting process to begin with? Shouldn't the magazine staff going through the submissions have immediately flagged his entry? Why print his name and truck specs into the national vote only to later DQ him for an issue that was a constant at the time of his entry? Just doesn't make sense. Got his hopes up along with ours. Funny how performance shop owners have been allowed to compete in the past but not their employees years later? It's all over now I just don't care for they way they benefit off of others carnage. Thousands upon thousands of dollars invested in those trucks not to mention a lot of money spent by competitors on travel to and from the dang thing and no prize money or kickbacks. The fuel additives and a set of tires are not even paid for by the magazine, they make the sponsors do that...as if they didnt pay enough to be sponsors lol. Win win win for the magazine and nothing but a beating, a loss, or small outside shot at a victory with no payout for the winner. Sounds grand. Ill keep mine in the garage and or going to work to help me make money.

Eh. DP Mag has never been a favorite of mine. Come to think of it, I'm not really a fan of any of the "diesel" magazines. I can find better things to do with my time.

Plus it's the "1500hp duramax has so much power, it can lift the front left tire off the ground" statements that just make me laugh...

my single cab pulled the tire on the 4-5 WOT shift with huge defuel too

x2 My wife got me a subscription to diesel power. After the first 3 months I realized there basically the same. They just change the 3 featured trucks.
