I'm looking to purchase a downpipe to replace the stock one, and I've noticed that now MBRP has one. Is one better than the other? They look more or less the same, but it appears that the MBRP has a ceramic coating, whereas the Diamondeye does not appear to. Does anyone have any thoughts on them?

I have a Diamond Eye waiting to go on. I have had no experience with either yet, but I've heard the DE is a better fit than the MBRP.

I've a seen a couple of people with the MBRP ones that the piping wasnt centered right so it looked like it was a manufacturing flaw.

i would probably go with DE downpipes.

I wonder how MBRPs LB7 downpipes are going to look, seen a few pics of the shitty welds & left over material from the cuts on the LLY/LBZ downpipes.

The fit and finish on the Diamond Eye was great. It went on with absolutely no problems or issues at all. It is already wrapped and usually you can find it for less $$$ than the MBRP. This is a no brainer. Go Diamond Eye and don't look back.:thumb:

i also vote for the Diamond Eye. the DPs for LBZs are kind of a pain to change but worth it when its done.

i didn't have any problems with my MBRP dp. I've never tried the DE one but i have held it and imo the MBRP feels a little more stout. I have seen a few of those MBRP ones that didn't have the pipe centered in the flange, no biggie but still for $209 you would expect it to be perfect.
