Down pipe

Is there one down pipe that's better than the other? I've got a 4" to 5" straight exhaust with 6" tip now my down pipe has a hole in it from the previous owner looks like a torch?! I had it covered up with a clamp and plate but now that I have cash flow I need to do a downpipe.

MBRP fits good also but I think they might be made in china now. the box they come in looks suspect to me. with that said I'd go with a profab also. I had one and it fit fine. support a vendor on here.

I put the MBRP 3in downpipe to my 5in straight pipe, love it! didn't know the famous " duramax scream " was caused by the downpipe so that was a let down but I noticed better throttle response! :thumb:

not too much difference from one to the next other than slight fitment or quality, All accomplish the same thing.

Does anyone make a 3.5" dp for stock turbo flange? I really like how yellowchevy cuts the flange so you can you an hx40 dp for the larger vvts.

yea ill probably be doing all the pipes and new intercooler before long just taking it one paycheck at a time

I had a Profab, fit good. But this Ohio weather took its toll and rotted out the pipe at the bottom flange. I installed a PPE pipe because its stainless.
