I've heard comments that this is "easy" racing, going electric.

Not so. You can put out a nitro fire. You cannot put out a lithium battery fire. A nitro fire could hit 2000°F in the right conditions, but an electric fire has no limit. 100,000°F copper plasma could spray you. No fire suit in the world could stop it.

Pretty dangerous stuff. Last person who tried to set the record escaped just in time to watch his car burn to the ground. The fire crew could do nothing about it.

Yeah, in the case of a fire, i'd say that cars batteries would burn a hole through the ground and straight through hell

That was real cool but they asked him does he have everything he needs? What is he going to need beside a tight grip in that 7 second run a snack? :D

You know he's getting old when they ask if he's in first gear also. :angel:

Actually it's a remote control dragster made by Traxxas, they have Garlits sitting in it just to make it look good. :D:thumb:
