I'm pretty sure rods and Pistons aren't 15K.

Rods, pistons, machine shop bill, main studs, flexplate, damper, bearings, gaskets, push rods, oil pump, valve springs, thats stuff do do it right. its gonna be well over 5k and im sure im missing something. Im in the middle of an engine build and i will tell you if you set a budget of 5k have about 10k bc this shit is exspensive!! I dont think anyone is trying to be rude just letting you know that you are pushing major limits with a stock bottom end at 700 hp lbz rods or not JMO. So if you wreck a bottom end (chances) are youre out of a crank, block, heads, and you will have to buy all that stuff new too so if your gonna go for the power be ready to pay.

I'm just pointing out that rods/Pistons are normally the weak link if he's shooting for a "700hp" mark. If he wants to go all out and money's not a problem then do a AF cam and send the heads to SoCal too. If one was only rich right?

I know right! I took my wife to the casino tonight for her birthday and the whole time i was thinking about what truck parts i would buy next if i won big. I try to convince myself everyday to sell all my truck parts and leave my truck alone but then i go to my local racetrack and see fast trucks running and then that ends pretty quick. lol. Its a sickness :banghead:

Anyways not trying to derail. So do we know if the op already has lbz rods in the truck?

I'm not sure what the OP is running other than a 68mm cheetah, maybe he will tell so he can get some ideas from everyone so we aren't shooting from the hip.

Many motors can live at 700hp level with proper tuning management and stock bottom ends. As for the original question push rods as for being upgraded it is mainly boost related and Oiling. Your lifter main oil source comes from the push rods. Higher RPM and Higher Boost setups can risk lack of oiling to the lifter as well as more stress related tot he push rod. Some aftermarket push rods address the oiling situation that you will want to upgrade the push rods for this concern more then failure from bending or breaking. I generally recommend push rods to the stage ones being upgraded on anything over Stock RPM ranges or boost over the 40-45psi area on a regular basis.
