Does our key have a chip in it

Does our key have a chip that the anti theft must recognize like some other cars? I was going to get some spares made but didnt know if theyll work or not.

Not that I'm aware of. It doesn't show like our corvette key does.

There has to have a small + sign where the metal key meets the plastic holder for it to have a chip. Ours do not have it.

The GMT-900's have a chip in them.

but, as a million people said above me, the -800's dont.

LMM's have chips, mine did.
