Yeah, this board is not a political board, however ...

VOTE by Nov 6!.

Statistically, only about half of us vote. So those who vote get two voices each.

No matter who you vote for, just get out to the polls, or apply for a Vote By Mail application, or do the Vote Early program. It is our duty as Americans to pick who makes our laws.

The current political system is anti-fossil fuel, anti-internal-combustion, and anti-firearm.

Currently, our economy is based on fossil fuels, and our freedom to own firearms is dwindling in many areas.

If you are OK with that, VOTE for the current politicians.

If you want American Energy Independence, and to slow down the gun restrictions, VOTE for those who have that stance.

But in any case VOTE. This is perhaps the most important election of our generation. Do America Proud!!!

:patriotic2:

At my work, I'm giving our employees 2 hours paid leave to in exchange for a voting stub or sticker. I don't care who they vote for, I just want the American Voice to be as loud as possible this year.

This is a generic thread, and it is indeed Duramax/Hotrod Related. The EPA is out to kill us, and it's time to return fire.

For sure MCRAT!!!
Dont hold me to this as this isnt my research but I remember hearing or seeing somwhere that US oil usage is down 12 % from the 80's and our air is cleaner than it was in the 70's and getting better every day despite more vehicles on the road.... So why is it gas prices are up 400% from the 80's and the EPA continues to demand stricter and stricter regulations???
Where's supply and demand??? I understand that it is very much effected because its a traded commodity but jesus!!!! There is just no justification to it anymore! Just read in Diesel Mag today that in California in 2020, diesel may be doubling in price!!!
On the EPA crap.... Dont get me wrong, I am all for making our air clean and leaving things better than we found them for our children but enough is enough! I wonder if they have ever done a test to see how much emmisions per mile a new LMM puts out compared to an LB7. Sure they are cleaner in a standing test, but are they truely cleaner mile for mile compared to a LB7? LB7 = 18-22 MPG, LMM = 12-16 MPG.

Why do emmisions keep getting tighter??? I have a thought.... They make money off it. It forces people to get cleaner cars and for us diesel guys, trucks that get less MPG so we are paying more at the pump. Where does all that money go??? Well, despite what most people believe... it doesnt all go to the oil companies. A good portion of it goes to government agencies to fund roads, (I can understand this) and then a crapload of stuff that isnt even related to transportation. In short... it feeds the government more money.
I am sorry to rant guys/gals but this isnt going to get better no matter who gets put in because the only ones getting elected are those that are choosen by the purely corrupted base "parties". Sure, we have the final vote. But we dont get to decide who there going to parade in front of us to vote on. I will vote in the best ability I can to defend my beliefs, but even that will hurt other beliefs of mine.
Want my vote????
I vote a revolution!!!!
Its where we are headed no doubt!!! Only question is how f'''ed up is it going to get before we get there.
Sorry for the rant... Im just fed-up with all of it that we have to take everyday and then get off our knees and tell them "thank-you, can I have some more"

You want to know why fuel prices are so much higher? Where do you think all this extra money getting spent is coming from? We are exporting oil. And food that is grown. The Military is buying outsourced material now (I fix airplanes, and the new tires we are getting are made in Japan...) So on top of blowing all this money, all the new so called "savings" are killing more and more American jobs.

On the EPA crap.... Dont get me wrong, I am all for making our air clean and leaving things better than we found them for our children but enough is enough! You know what, a few years ago, I ran some numbers. I had an 82 F250, and I was living somewhere where emissions were required, so I had that truck tested. The paper with all those numbers wound up in a folder with other sentimental stuff. A year later, I had to get a lung test done (they make you breath into a device that checks your lung capacity, then check your bodies CO2 emissions sitting still, walking on a treadmill, and then running...) I compared the results. If I were to drive that truck 10 miles vs walking the same path for 10 miles, my combined CO2 for my truck and me sitting still in it was about half than for walking. I think the global warming and emissions are a runaway effect of no one doing any math.

I don't think the government makes any money off it. None, but it doesn't cost them anything ether, hence why the car companies and the people buying the cars and trucks are paying for it.

Gov't depts want to get bigger. They get more salary, and it's job security.

The EPA doesn't want to "detune", so they must do dumb things like put smog control on lawnmowers and gas cans. They are running out of real problems.

The EPA should not run our country, they should HELP our country.

Please go out and VOTE. I put in a request for an absentee ballot since Im deployed. That was 3 weeks ago and it was suppose to go to my email. Im about to do a FWIB for my state and mail that in. So Im trying to vote any which way I can.

On another note, If he gets reelected then he has proposed for all military to pay for their own healthcare for them and their families. Yet congress and other politicians get to keep their healthcare at no charge to them.

Please go vote, whoever it may be.

I could go on about how bad he is for this country for multiple pages but I will say in this post that I heard this morning that with Obamacare military families will have to pay $200 for each child to be insured. Sounds like he really cares about our soldiers.

I definitely have a positive outlook on this election, I know a pile of people that bought into the whole "Hope and Change" deal that voted for him that are not this time. And I know for a fact, anybody that didn't vote for him last time hasn't seen anything that's gonna make them vote for him this time.. how about the first presidential debate?? Talk about taking somebody to the woodshed...

If we keep heading the way we are heading the people that do nothing for a paycheck are gonna outnumber the people who work for a paycheck. Something has got to give and the burden needs to be removed from the middle class backs. Oil is atrocious and deregulation of onshore drilling and that pipeline from Canada to US is greatly needed along with a restriction on exportation of our domestic oil. I am tired of a bunch of bullshit crap. And I don't want to even get started on gun control.

Our country is in a terrible mess. People like Obama are the biggest reasons for it also. Too much government and the need to save us from ourselves mentality are the by products of the guys now running our country. Please vote and consider this. The countries across the ocean that are experiencing civil unrest will be us if we keep the same direction we are headed now. Its time for a stand while we can salvage what we do have.

Our vote does not count. Only electoral votes count not the majority. What is it 265 people.

It takes 270 electoral votes to win president. The votes go with the states popular vote except for two states. Maine and Nebraska split theirs proportionately. So your vote does count maybe not proportionately but it still counts.
