I was gonna buy some wheels off a guy with a 3500 he didn’t know if it had sensors in the wheels or not. I was just curious if maybe GM put them in all the wheels not knowing what trucks they were going on or not.

If the vehicle was not equipped with a tire pressure monitor then no, the tires do not have pressure sensors in them. And this is just from my experience with trucks that would come through dealership.

Some 3500 single wheel trucks will have sensors in them. Just kinda depends on the truck.

My 17 l5p 3500 single wheel had tpms sensors in the factory wheels, however it did not have tpms enabled in the truck.

Interesting. I wouldn’t think they’d be in there due to gvwr and I’d think gm wouldn’t be wasting money putting parts in that were not required. Now I want to go around the lot and see how many have this or if it’s specific wheels, etc.... my stupid curiosity
