When I was towing my camper last weekend (with a 135hp tune on my quadzilla) the truck would go into a "idle limp mode?" Their would be no throttle response what so ever! after about 15 secs it go back to normal until the truck was under load again. I had the same problem this winter with out pulling and a new fuel filter fixed the problem, didn't work this time! Thanks in advance!

Is it throwing any codes? Could be an overboost condition.

Check engine light never came on so I am assumeing there're no codes? I do have a boost gage and I never saw it over twenty something.

That 135 tune has alot of fuel in it for a 135 tune, I'd go ahead and get a lift pump
Is one better than the other? I don't mind paying for quality, but hate paying for a name. I was thinking airdog? I would rather by one thats made here in the US. BTW my end goal is to have twin turbos and 550HP with my towing tune so I need to keep that in mind when I buy parts.

Ill bet your throwing over boost limps the dtc codes will be p0236 or p0234. It can be an issue on lb7's if the over boost tables aren't corrected for the added boost or you add a boost stick if you are running a program er. But this is just my guess:D I use to run into this proablem

Will it have codes even if the check engine light is not/did not come on?

What kind of egt's u see pulling on 135. My lb7 would get smokin hot pullin on that tune. Lile others said, that tine throws a lot of fuel at low rpm's.... makes for some nasty egt's with any kind of load on the truck.

It sticks right around 1000 with my 5" exhaust. Camper alone weights 12000lbs empty so thier is a good load behind me. This is the first weekend I could pull at that high of a tune because my trany would not have held up b4 the rebuild. lucky MN is cool and flat for the most part other wise maybe it would be a problem. We'll have to c what happens as it gets hotter here and I pull more.

Weird. I regularly haul loads over 10k, sometimes over 20k and mine never ran that cool. I wish, since I really liked the power that 135 tune had... great street tune.

I hear you on the trans part. Big loads now with EFI in still make my trans grimace. One of these days.... :D

I have efi so I just increased boost limit tables. ppe has a thing called a boost stick i think that will correct it.

Did you pull any codes out of the truck?
I have the 0234 code that you said I would have. I will be ordering the ppe boost stik today.... and a liftpump just cause. Thanks again for the help.
