I replaced my stock CP3 with an II mod CP3 because the regulator went out on the stocker LB7.
Because of the way I got the II, I still have my old pump with a bad regulator. I am a no-pump kit away from dual CP3's if I replace the regulator on the old pump.
Can I run the higher volume pump in the valley with the old pump belt driven? Do the dual CP3's need to be a matched set of pumps?
To be honest, I am not sure how much life is left in the old pump, it had about 130k miles on it when the regulator quit (one of the reasons for replacing the whole thing). Is there a way to see if the pump is OK?
I was just thinking that I could get into dual CP3's pretty cheaply.
