#2 = diesel fuel
2CP3 = Running 2 CP3 injection pumps
BCM = body control module
CDX = cd changer, usually in reference to the external 6-disc unit found in escalades/denali's
Common Rail = Diesel Fuel Injection design that is very high pressure from an un-timed pump feeding electrically fired injectors. All Dmaxes are Common Rail.
CP3 = Bosch High Pressure Fuel Injection Pump
DDM = drivers door module
DIC = driver information center, the display above your steering wheel on most truck. Work Truck and Kodiak do not have it.
DPF = Diesel Particulate Filter system, which is exhaust, sensors, and throttle butterfly. On LMM only.
Dual Fuelers = Running 2 CP3 injection pumps
EBCM = electronic brake control module (abs/stabilitrak module)
ECM = Electronic computer module or Engine Control Module
EFILive = Tuning and datalogging suite developed in Australia and New Zealand for GM products.
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation, existing on some LB7, and all others codes.
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
EGT = Exhaust Gas Temperature
EHCU = electro-hydraulic control unit (a part of the EBCM)
ESC = electronic suspension control (autoride)

LBZ = Duramax engine 6.6L 360HP, exposed injectors, VNT turbo, 6-SP Allison, 2006-2007, eighth # in VIN is D
Lift Pump = Aftermarket fuel supply pump. Our trucks do not have one stock, except the vans.
LLY = Duramax engine 6.6L, 310HP, exposed injectors, VNT turbo, 5-SP Allison, 2004.5-2006, the 2006 LLY is actually an LBZ that is detuned. eighth # in VIN is 2
LMM = Duramax engine 6.6L 365HP, exposed injectors, VNT turbo, 6-SP Allison, 2007.5+, has DPF, eighth # in VIN is 6
LSR = Land Speed Racing
MAF = mass airflow
MAP = manifold absolute pressure
Mike L. = Inglewood Transmissions
MIL = Malfunction Indicator Lamp

NSBU = Neutral safety back up switch
