Here are a few pics of some of the mods I have been working on for a little while when I have time. List goes as: coolant thermostat housing cover remade with a front exit, new intake with are shutoff, FICM relocate, battery relocate, fuel sump install, and then finally a coolant tank relocate not yet completed. Also rebuilt front end with the new Kryptonite UCA's and brake performance drilled/slotted rotors. Also completely sandblasted the frame anything else that had rust on it and coated with POR 15 and then 2 coats of paint. Then installed all new brake lines from classic tube. Lots of work lol

I made all of the parts for thermostat housing, battery box, fuel sump, and intake. Time consuming but enjoy it a lot.

Did you pull the bed off just for the frame painting? Wonder what I can do without pulling the bed to help with corrosion issues. Looks good though. I really like those control arms.

Yeah me and 3 buddies had mine off in less than 20 minutes. Short bed only has 8 bolts holding it on, 2 plugs on spare tire cross member, and 3 screw holding the filler neck in. It's easily maneuverable with 1 guy on each corner

Ya i pulled the bed. I really didn't want to but after doing it, its really easy and quick and much easier to work on everything. Live on a farm so I used the loader tractor to lift it off. The intake tube is still only a 4" tube and the big attachment on the end is my over engineered air shutoff. I just added an electric solenoid to activate it last night. And yes, I machined the fuel sump myself. Did all the "billet" parts myself. Grew up a on a farm and am a machinist by trade so lots of resources to do this stuff.

I hear you there :thumb:. I didn't have access to lathes or end mills though, just welders, grinders, plasmas, etc.

I'm assuming you redid the sump & made it larger?

Did all the wires reach to where you relocated the ficm and could I get a little more info on that mod I really like where you placed it. Nice clean setup :thumb: Maybe another side pic?

Ya for sure I can take a few more pics of the FICM relocate. And yes, the wires reached the new spot fine. As for the sump, that is the first one I have made and I think its large enough for what I will ever need. It is 3.5" OD on the sump portion with 0.25" wall thickness but I left the floor 0.375" thick just for a bit more durability. This instantly fixed my hard to start issue I was having with the stock fuel feed for my lift pump.

Love to see how the coolant relocation goes.... Trying to get lower and it is the limiter right now with rub issues....
