There is another thread on CompD gauging interest in another class. So far about a dozen guys have said they'd race a class that is somewhere between the 11.90 index and SS. I agree, I love racing 11.90 and I also agree that diesel racing is boring as hell to watch. Go to one of the big boy races sometimes, not only are they having trouble filling the stands as well, but when anything but the Nitro cars are running the stands empty out, and we are talking some fast stuff racing. The most reaction I have ever seen is when a diesel races a gasser and wins, the fans love that. :thumb:

It seems to me there is a fit, at least as far as ET is concerned, for a 10.x index/bracket class of some sort. A 2.5 sec gap between 11.90 (is this class called Super Diesel?) and the faster trucks in SS is plenty to warrant another class IF there are enough trucks to have 3 good sized classes.

I don't see why more diesel racers don't go to local tracks and race against the gassers? It seems that's even better exposure to mainstream drag racing than diesel-only events?

This is the reason why I think Friday night TNT are almost as much fun as racing in the big diesel events. The reactions I get from people are priceless. I have had people literally pointing and laughing at my truck lining up against a vette. Needless to say they weren't laughing the next time I staged. I really want to see those kind of people's reaction when the win light turns on in my lane. I love racing my diesel truck! :thumb:

Its all about how you lay the power down to the ground Dman777, anyone can win in drag racing :woott:

I have to agree with another on this, make your truck faster or slower to compete. If not I am sure there are 'outlaw' tracks that just do heads up racing whatever the vehicle.
