I once flushed the oil in my LLY at around 110k, I used oil from the rig, I had to change it 5 times along with the filter to get it nice and golden, it lasted 1,000 miles, changed it at 3k and it was black again, never ****ed with it again.

My LMM has always been changed between 7-10k, it’s always black, even after change, when I pulled the motor and cleaned everything out, I’m at 1500 miles on this change and it’s still golden but I haven’t drove it hard.

TX of course
Yep I have flushed my oil several times in a row just to see if I could get it so it wasn't so black. Still black in a few hundred miles.

Funny thing here is the 2 cups of oil left in the stock lower oil pan hasn't been mentioned. the 2 cups of dirty oil can make a fresh oil change look as though it wasn't even performed:thumb:

Sorry, couldn't resist :poke:

No worries here I must have missed it while reading the posts just making sure it was addressed. Justice brothers seems to make a good diesel emissions cleaner kit that goes in the oil and fuel and suspends the soot particles that dirty up the fresh oil seems to work. How long the oil stays clean is beyond me but when service is performed it works pretty quick.
