I was thinking of going into the I/C line but its so thin, And im not a welder:D

what other things are different? that i have yet to notice

Don't tee it. Drill and tap. I have heard of guys having issues when they Tee'd in to that line.

Besides-I know how you like making holes in stuff!!:joker:

I've drilled and tapped intercooler tubing for 1/8 NPT and it works fine at 50+ PSI boost.

A "SuperDiesel Manifold" is the trick way of doing it, because it has several ports.

The 01 has different serpentine belt routing, weaker headgaskets, and some say a weaker charger which I'm not sure about.

Not so bad with an aftermarket charger, but with a stock charger you can overboost it if you get it wrong.

You can pretty much block the wastegate on an HTT if you want. IIRC, the factory setting is about 35PSI.

x2 I just tapped mine before the boot that connects it to the intake neck. I mixed up some fiberglass resin to put on the threads of the fitting and screwed in. Spray painted it Red to add to sexyness of the LB7.

I have a brand new set of GM head bolts that have never been heat cycled if your interested. They were installed when motor #2 was built, and I put studs in before I put it in.

From gmpartscheap.com:

turbocharger, all models 01-02 $2,244.49 $200.00 $1,683.37

turbocharger, all models, federal, lev 03-04 $2,244.49 $200.00 $1,683.37
turbocharger, all models, federal, tier 1 03-04 $1,699.23 $200.00 $1,274.42
turbocharger, all models, california 03-04 $2,244.49 $200.00 $1,683.37

I wish they had part numbers but it looks like there is only one oddball turbo on the 03 and 04's.
