Difference in PPE converters?

I had the white converter in my PPE stage V 5speed and received a black converter with my PPE stage 5 for my 6speed. What is the difference? This black one feels a bit tighter, can't get my rpm's up as high as the white one. Not sure if this is because of the bigger turbo or does that black converter have a lower stall speed?

What is gonna be a better converter for daily driving a stock turbo truck and what will be a better converter racing with a S475 or S480 over stock twin setup?

I have both converters, i'm thinking of swapping the white one into my race truck for next season, I liked it better

The white one is a Precision Industries ML which is looser than the black one which is a Goerend ML. I wouldn't use either one in a race truck as neither has a heavy duty stator. Holding either one of these on the line trying to build boost will hurt them.

Hmm the white one has 150 passes on it in two years and still felt good at the end of last season. So far this black one has 18 passes.

Which one would you recommend though Mike? I'm gonna run one of these two. Not gonna buy another converter. As long as these don't blow up I will run them. If they're starting to give me trouble then I will think of going with something else.

Thanks

I would choose the one that gives you a better 60ft time. A tighter converter will give you less control on the launch and maybe a slower 60ft time.

Hmm maybe that's why my 60's were 1.60-1.65 last year and now 1.75-1.80

Definitely gonna drop that white one back in there

Now to fix this horrible 3-4 flare. Gonna install wave plate and play with tuning a little hope to get it figured for next season

The wave plate will not take away your flair. Wave plates cushion the ramp up on a clutch.

If you figure it out, let me know. Got a little better after I reset the taps again. Want to do a fast learn too
