Right on Pat. Exactly my thoughts also. Tony is correct by saying not all mods there are jackasses but most are. It is unreal how they can just turn on someone that has managed to spend numerous hours away from their family to gather and compile info to make it easier for others. I know I didnt have a diesel or am a techie on diesel stuff BUT I give it 100% on the stuff I do know...electrical, LEDS, HIDs, Exterior, ect.... I bet you wont find any other mod over there that has made as many stickies and such other than some ex mods that are members here. The new gen mods just are too busy acting like kindergartners handing out warnings and shit.
As far as Stew acting like he did here its no surprise. Thats his and Randys whole attitude....we can buy anything we want. I call BS. AF is not as big as they appear. I would hope this place never sells and I dont think it ever would. One thing this place has though that money cant buy is something AF will never understand. P R I D E.
AF DOES manage that site. Thats the reason it is the way it is. Because you have some kiddo in an office thats responsible for the site and hes calling the shots from a managerial standpoint instead of an enthusiast standpoint. There is a HUGE difference when you are not both. If you are not an enthusiast you need to trust and rely on your mod staff to make the right decisions. If data is slacking (ie..sales, ect..) then you step in and offer some insight and how to implement it in a way thats going to best suit your members. MEMBERS are the ONLY reason why forums stay in business. Vendors are only there if members are there.
And besides all that that place does not have ANYWHERE near the amount of ACTIVE users that they claim. Im willing to bet they have less than 20% active users on there. Another smoke and mirrors ploy. BUT when your getting paid to a job I guess your a company man. And Im sure nutsack will come in and say hes not getting paid but I know he is. I heard it from HighSierra (John) when he was an admin. Just another cover up in his basket of BS.

If you are talking about an ad on DP that is one of their newer vendors. AF now owns an El Camino site I belong to and Ahwooga is an advertiser on their also. I don't have clue what they sell, never been to their site.

If you knew the history of the site you would also know that D'Amico started it and myself and Mackin ran it from the start, I was with Mackin the original two people that helped D'Amico build that site into what it was.
So I have the right to sat whatever I want because I walked in those shoes 7 years ago before any of the current mods did.
I was called far worse that you know and called many of the mods who replaced me far worse that I have called the current one's.
RatLover was a tool like Randy, him and I had many, many brawls becaue Phil was a TTS tool and D'Amico condoned his actions so he didn't have to be the bad guy but could still get his free stuff from Cole.

AF is only cutting their own throats by alienating the "get-it-done" enthusiast crowd and concentrating on the "what is a truck?" newbie bunch. Despite them, DP was my homesite and I still try to pay it forward....like so many of you guys helped me in the past (and still do).
