Ya... maybe I will hang out. Who owns it? Maybe we can buy it too! lol.

Like i said, you can learn new things just about anywhere.
So how about those screen shots? I want to see what kind of hacking skills you have. Or where you just BSing all these nice guys.
Naw, this board does just fine without tampon ads written in Flash.:spit:
Let's see, does AF sponsor/help diesel events? Or even attend any? If they have any automotive knowledge past the correct number of tires on a car, they sure hide it very well.
Companies like AF are basically parasitic. They look for someone selling "other peoples" work and buy it. You'd think if they were truly hotrodders that they could just start their own boards. That takes a lot of time and wrenching though.
This board was started as a place to put my notes about Dmaxes. We have never asked for donations, and it doesn't make money. It's all about the love of our trucks and how to make them fly. DP was started to avoid paying vendor fees on DP (dieselpage) and took donations to start. It was always about the money, so of course it was always for sale, or at least for rent if you had something Nick needed.
Lots of folk who donated money, wrote tutorials, advertised the site, posted about and assisted events, in the name of DieselPlace felt more than a little betrayed by Nick D'amico when he cashed in on the labor of his friends. Not everyone was surprised though.
AF needs to find the D'amicos out there. AF could never afford to do what the members of DP did to make that board what it was. Not economical. I suppose the crew at AF thinks enthusiasts who post good info for free are fools to be used. Heck most all folk who hotrod their cars, bikes, trucks are a few cards short of a full deck, but most are much smarter than anyone who makes a living in advertising. Just watch TV a couple hours and it will prove my point.
In any case, this board is not for sale. Nor do we permit Toyota/Tampon ads. Advertisers here must be of good character, ie - honest, and have Duramax related products for sale.
So enjoy you visit, but unless you're into hotrodding Dmaxes, you probably will just get confused here.
