Truck will go into limp mode if it runs out. Will only go up to 5mph IIRC until you fill it up again.

I highly doubt that. Worst I can see happening is a check engine light. That's what happens with our mercedes.

Here's a question. I wonder what will stop owners from filling it up with water...

the 2010/2011 dmax's will have a NOX sensor in the exhaust (in the downpipe, specifically), as well as post and pre turbo (EGR cooler inlet) temperature sensors.

Trust me. It will be able to tell if you filled it up with something besides the diesel exhaust fluid. Its not that stupid. ;)

no...its actually 55mph.

It will have a "DEF range xxxx miles" screen in the DIC. When it gets down to 75 miles a warning will come up in the DIC and it will ding at you. If you continue to ignore it, it will say "DEF empty, speed limited upon restart".

And next time you shut off and restart the truck it will be limited to 55mph and say "DEF empty, speed limited to 55mph"

Smog technology comes and goes. I see urea injection as being just an intermediate step until better technology comes into play.

EGR was actually removed from some cars as the emission requirements got tighter.

No problem just don't shut it down, but I'm sure the tuners will have a fix for us.:thumb:
