Figures, I buy a nice newish used car and its given me headaches ever since.

So far, I am fighting the DEF poor quality countdown, its at a dealer right now cause I was hoping that a recall reflash would reset that but no luck.

Anyone have experience with these diesels? The cruze forums just default to, "take it to dealer" responses.

Annnd, back in countdown to death mode.

Pretty sure its a DEF heater failure, so hoping its covered under warranty.

That being said, I promised myself I would look into !emissions if this came up again. Anyone know a good tune that will turn off the emissions stuff for my race car cruze?

Mine doesnt get the fuel mileage my old lady's vw passat does and it's way bigger and has more luxuries. If I was to do it again I'd have looked for a passat tdi. Or I'd have bought a gasser..

I think Ive replaced one or two Nox sensors (on the back of the engine) and had the DEF heater/reservoir replaced under warranty, and thats it. I want to remove parts, but the car doesnt give me a reason to yet. As for tuning, there's only the one place that does removals as far as I know. I think you know who that is already.

Is the Cruze tuning similar to the LML, where you cant just upload it into EFI?

From my recollection the cruze and LML are remarkably similar in programming. I think you will need to obtain the base files from someone else, I think I may have some on my laptop. It was / is how the early LML was delt with where EFILive didn't have any of the files but can upload the tune if you have it

Mines been happy deleted for 30k miles. Not one check engine light on since. I drove 100 miles round trip a day and average 48 not going the speed limit.
