Aren't the magnaflow mufflers pretty loud? Do you know if the diesel mufflers are packed with fiberfill/fiberglass?
Might be seams to be average for noise and it's a lot quieter then straight pipe. Not sure about the fiberglass.I still have the muffler on my grocery getter:rofl:

Top upper right corner of link I provided there is a description of their construction, says they have an acoustical fiber packing. That's what I would be concerned of, that stuff seems to break down and over time the exhaust pulse/noise will get louder, my MBRP exhaust had that on my 1500hd, it sounded nice and mellow for about 6mo, then it got kinda growley, after a year and towing the trailer it was just nasty, which I liked at the time, but it got old, wouldn't want to do that again, especially on the d-max, but that's just me;)

I will take a pic of under the truck, the entire exhaust system began twisting in different directions, I am very anal about how things line up and a bunch of hangers all at different angles kills me. I straightened it back out retightned them and put small stich welds on each side of the pipes, I have some nice pipe clamps that are 5 inches wide and use 2 9/16 bolts I am going to use those on my front pipe seem and muffler delete seams.

As for the hangers they are just junk I made my own out of 5/8 rod iron, I have never had an exhaust take so much work. I should have stuck to my guns and got MBRP my decision and my mistake. Wont happen again.

And the directions are amazing. and I quote "take pipe 1 and install into pipe 2" the directions dont even number them as 1,2,3,4... they go by part number. I get all done and at the bottom i very small print, kit may not fit a dually propery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta admit that it took almost a week of daily screwing around with it when I got home to align it the way it should be. It was very reasonably priced but you get what you pay for...

We have been doin our second cut on our brome, truck was pulling hay wagon needed to get around the binder over a terrace I guess the exhuast was hanging low broke one of the hangers off so the welds were garbage the hangers go into rubber mounts and the weld rips before rubber... As a welder that kills me.

Got back to the house did a quick reweld and realigning of seems and clamps. Will take pic tomorrow after a day of idle time in the feild

Tell the hay is in the barns I wont have time, I need more sleep...

Yea I agree with you there. Was trying to stay in a budget though from money made from changing trucks.

That wasnt a stab at you, I have purchased plenty off ebay and saved money. But it is awsome to have someone on a site that you can message and they go out of there way to help. The guys and GAL in my sig have all treated me awsome with fair priceing. Honesty and loyalty go further for me than saving a few buck.

Somtime budgets will not allow that though, I would venture to say alot of these vendors woudl be willing to get as close to the price on ebay as they can.

This is the very reason I've decided I'm just going to make my own exhaust system when I get my truck running again. Fighting with someone elses kit, never again.
That said for the price MBRP makes a decent enough kit that fits pretty decent. I'm just going to use their 5" muffler in my system, the rest of it will be custom.

I know this a older thread .But have to say Diamond eye Sucks.
Did a 5" turbo back straight pipe exhaust on my old 07 LBZ cc long bed was messed up.missing parts and wrong parts..
Gave them a benefit of the doubt and order again for my 2007.5 lmm cc lb and again it was a joke.
Asked diamond eye about the kit I got .Well all cc lb are not the same as I was told .Now they say that 2007.5 has a another part number.
Just a big cluster PHaq. Sent me a piece to fix it and was wrong aswell.
All I have to say NEVER AGAIN AND BUYERS BEWARE

Mine is holding up awful... I never got to welding on it yet, should here in the next few weeks but the clamp/hangers constantly fall out of the rubber mounts won't stay tire pipes are spinning in one another and there are leaks at every joint. Pure garbage I may just rip it off and start again

while I agree there fitment sucks but I have had 3 de kits and never had that problem im going with a mbrp kit or silverline again my silverline was the best fitting kit I have had. Flo pro is good for fitment 90% of the time but they always forget clamps every damn time
