PS - the term "bung" comes from the plug that is hammered into a wine cask or a beer barrel. "Bunghole" was not coined by Beavis and Butthead, or even MTV. It came from the brewing/winemaking industry.

How hard are these to install?

They are a PITA, but doable by those with average skills with hand tools. You should pull the glowplug controller, and the passenger tire and fender liner. A "TopSide Creeper" helps. Loosening the passenger riserpipe will give you more play.

hmm.. Its kind of intimidating.. the only time Ive got near the back of my LBZ was to do the FPR Shim and the EGR blocker.. :baby:

How hard are these to install?

You will need to remove the tranny dipstick tube to get the stocker out.

A little tip- to avoid cutting the grommet/seal when you put the dipstick tube back in, use the bellhousing inspection cover as a shim and slide the tube over the hole. When you get it over the hole, slide the cover out and the tube should drop right in and save you a trip to the dealer.

Or just use silicone like CCV did to mine.

We didnt have to pull mine either (trans dipstick), nor the glow plug bracket, the heat shield on the turbo does need to be pulled though.
