Diamond Eye Downpipe Dyno:

Made same peak HP as stock pipe on Wendy. But at 3100 rpm starting to show gains. The higher you spin it, the more the gains.

At 3350rpm the Diamond Eye makes 519rwhp
At the same RPM, the stocker makes 503rwhp

So up top, the Diamond Eye will make over 15rwhp gain.

Move your shift points up to about 3400-3500 to get the most advantage.

If anyone on Duramax Diesels wants one, I can get them for $219 + shipping.

So, better than an intake, and it cools the EGTs. Sounds good to me. Any tq increase, sound better, faster spool, or other factors that are good to know?

I'm getting some of these made up with 1/4-NPT Pyrometer fittings (bungs). I think the price will be $25 more.

This way you won't have to drill your exhaust manifold. I will come up with a temp conversion factor since post-turbo doesn't read the same as pre-turbo.

Think the conversion will be accurate enough to be safe Pat? Havent drilled my manifold yet for my gauge and was thinking about getting the downpipe.... this pushes me more....

Once we get a conversion number, you will be fine. We need to the truck up to 1350 sustained and see what it is "post turbo". This will be your new limit.

For racing/pulling, this will allow you to see peak EGT's if your existing pyro tops out.

I don't think I'll do the drive pressure gauge until another turbo gets into the mix.

Where on the pipe are you putting the bung, leaving the pipe on the truck, it will be necessary to put the bung close to where the downpipe connects.

If so, I will do one that way on the bench and then bolt it up.

Without taking the pipe off the truck, that is about the easiest place to put the probe as far as I can tell.
