Finally got around to installing my diamond eye down pipe tonight, and it was a b!tch! I am envious to those of you that claim they have done it in 40 mins because it took me almost 2 hours and I like to consider myself decent with a wrench. Either way, it is done now and awesome! It totally eliminated the annoying screetching that my truck was making when I would lay into it hard. Seems like it spools a tad quicker and sounds waaaayyy better with my 5" straight pipe. I have to say thanks to Brian for coming over to give me a hand with it tonight . For sure made the install easier with his help. I would recommend getting an after market DP for those of you that don't have one yet.

That was the worst part man, along with those damn trans dip stick tube nuts. Luckily my truck is way lifted so it made it easy to lay under it and work, but glad to be done.:thumb:

I think I may have turned you onto lifted trucks after seeing how easy it is to work under them and the looks we were getting driving around in it from those girls haha

Do you have ratcheting wrenches? They were invaluable fot that heat sheild, which i ripped out and di not put back, helped to hit that 45min mark, i think i musta just got lucky;)
It does sound a billion times better, and soo much healthier, i only have a 4" D.E quite tone and the DP still made a noticeable but good difference!

Congratulations, but be ready for the powerchokes, they envy

I didn't have ratcheting wrenched or it would have been way easier. My hands were just way to big lol. And the power chokes here around my side of town don't worry me, haven't came across one yet that can run me down

Did mine when the heads were off.....waaay easier. Know what you mean about the sound, 5" straight pipe on mine made that screech nasty.

I noticed that it also seemed to quite the cab noise down a bit also, especially driving at freeway speed. Overall it was a great mod and the truck sounds even better now

TX of course
X2, take off the front pipe, and start twisting. I was surprised how easy it came out, but getting the trans tube back i was a PITA. Without wanting to bend things up to bad.
