Thanks guys. I'll try the fuel filter, as that should be pretty easy. Hoping it's not bad injectors, any more than one would push me way over budget for this truck. I'm already into it for more than it's worth. But hey, I could use an excuse to buy a new truck.

Well good luck. Injection components are wear items and have to be replaced periodically, sucks but it is what it is.

Yeah, if I hadn't just bought the truck recently, I wouldn't hesitate to replace the injectors. But with the repairs I've done thus far, I'm already into the truck for about $17,500 and it's only worth about $15,000 on a good day. I would rather cut my losses and make a better investment. Plus, my income has more than tripled since I bought the truck in March, so I have more options now.

Well it's a bandaid at best but it could help some. Try running some cheap walmart 2 stroke oil in your fuel, small bottle or 2 per tank of fuel for a while and see if it helps any. Kinda think no but it's not going to hurt to try it.

You may have! There was a lot going for the truck when I bought it. One owner, lived in GA, fully optioned out LT, CC/LB dually, B&W turnover ball, and pretty much immaculate outside and in. And it was being sold at a large, "reputable" dealer, so of course they wanted top dollar. The mileage was the only indication that the truck had lived a long life, but 223k still isn't bad for these trucks. Not enough to scare me away from what I thought was a good deal. Would have been a great deal if it was in top shape, but some of the stuff I've had to fix wouldn't have been evident to the dealer. Just bad timing.

Trucks are worth more in NC...

Yep, I've been keeping an eye on the new trucks, just in case I decide to go that route. I could save an additional $10k if I fly out somewhere. Better yet, I could take a vacation and bring the camper with me. May as well try the truck out on the way home!

Once you total travel, lost work, fuel and the registration and nc taxes when you bring it back you really save very little and have to deal with a dealer who could care less if you have a problem once home with it...

I would also pull the drivers fender well liner out and check for a hole rubbed in the boost tube. Better yet, you could pressure test the entire system. I think I have a thread on that somewhere, will have to look.

I'm pretty sure that's the hose that blew off shortly after I got the truck. I've been meaning to check it to make sure it's still on all the way, just haven't been able to find time.

Between a full time job, two graduate degree programs, two puppies, and a wife, I barely have time to think about fixing it. That's why I came here, to narrow down the long list of possibilities and get some priorities set.
