DHD dirty alli locker

I'm debating on getting the DHD dirty alli locker for my truck but wanted to get some input on weather or not it's good? I see on the website it can be used for daily driving which is 85% of what my truck does but I like where it mounts and being able to fully manually lock the TC. Is anyone else running it?

Not trying to speak for Tim but I believe you can go to radio shack and buy all the stuff required for under $20.

Ben at bt diesel works, he's a vendor here on this site. I personally run his lockup box with great results.

I run BT lockup box. Love it! I've never had any issues of random unlocking or anything. Green light goes on and it's locked.

Bens box is by far superior.

Ive dropped the normal price on mine too. Now they are $399, used to be $500. :thumb:

My dhd lock up is still the box. Haven't got around to installing it yet. I got it because 1 it was cheaper and 2 its either lock or not, less stuff to go wrong. I'm not going to mount it in the dash. I think I'm going to mount it next to the 12v outlet on the inside of my center console. The switch will be closer and incognito.

Not trying to hijack the thread but on my lly it only locks in 5th, now if I put it in tow/haul mode it locks every gear except first. What's the deal with that? Couldn't you just use tow haul mode? Or not a good choice cause of rpms?

Not the same thing. It locks based on throttle position, load and a few other factors. It won't always lock up, especially at higher power levels. This makes sure it locks when it is needed.

I have Ben's box on a DD LLY and it works perfect. The auto select is sweet. It also was a easy install.
