Hey, its been quite some time since ive been on here. I have a 2001 with a built trans and s475 over stock. Ever since twin install the truck drove messed up which was over a year ago.
It drives like its almost in limp. Brake stand it and it just sits at 1k rpms. Driving it has almost no mid throttle. either all or nothing and even floored it takes bus lengths before it starts spooling and moving its ass. if you floor it to get it moving then like 1/2 throttle it shifts and barely moves through the next gear same thing. Has a p0089 and p0238. confused by why those codes and dosent seem to help me much brand new map/baro/lbz fpr/gm injectors. swapped maf with my 03 and it didnt change also swapped TPS with the 03 and thatdidt work either. awhile back i used various stock tunes and one seemed to fix this issue sorta but lost track of the tune when trying others. swapped ecms with one on hand at ATP just in case ecm was corrupt but it wasnt. Fuel filter base, Intake heater, coolant level sensor and the fuel rail sensor on the junction are all deleted out via efilive and lbz fpr and built trans are also tuned via efi by ATP. Shops either mis diagnose it or flat out dont know.
Kicker. if i UNPLUG the MAF it drives like it should....... throws MAF code though and im not cool with driving around with my shit all ghetto and unplugged just to run right plus dont want it to hurt anything and engine light is on.
Flat out dont know what else to do. 1. try new tuner costing more(ridgerunner)... $$ 2. tear down to stock and sell it 3. set on fire 4. buy a new MAF just for the **** of it incase the used one i tried didnt work for some reason...
seems to be a fuel/air problem possibly tuning of one or the other related.
In a new house with a newborn and a busted truck with my woman up my ass about affording awedding i cant just keep throwing money at this anything knowledge helps.
