hate to say it but there is a reason the old motor lost a piston in 15 miles. either the new injector for that cylinder is stuck open or the old one weakned it so much, the new ones put in had enough to crack her. i wouldnt be puttin the same injector that was on the bad piston in your new motor
on edit: im sure some good ol' full throttle runs ought to clear it out
Well thats a good point, we aint fired it up yet probably oughta get them injectors looked at, bill said something might be wrong with them, but we thought it melted that piston because of running the hello out of it. do most places generally need a receipt usually to honor injector warranties? preciate the help so far yal :thumb:

This here is James bronson, i work for bill laird he sold me the truck for $4k i've got it in the shop up here, got some help from a good diesel and heavy eq mechanic, rick, he does all the work up here on the big trucks and workover rigs. we got the motor changed out now we just trying to tie up some loose ends. preciate the help :thumb:
Bout the oil pan, we are thinkin that pickup tube is probably towards the back, we are thinkin bout just replacing it but we were just wondering if it might be ok based on where the pickup tube is in the pan.
