Delayed Shipping and Response Times...next few weeks :(

Last Wednesday I was out with friends for dinner, when I picked up a glass to take a drink, and it shattered when it left the table, cutting my wrist and pinky finger. I had 5 hours worth of surgery 2 days ago. Ended up with 4 cut tendons, a cut nerve and another partially cut tendon.

I was really hoping to be able to continue business as usual (albeit one handed) but with the amount of pain I've been in and the number of Dr. and PT appts. coming up. There's probably going to be at least a few times where I'm going to miss some calls or can't get blankets out as quickly as I normally would.

I'm also going to put any custom blankets on hold for the next couple weeks since it's almost impossible to build templates and one-off blankets, one handed. I'm still taking orders and able to work, just not to the level I'm used to. I wanted to give everyone a heads up and apologize in advance for the short term change in customer service. I should have my splint off in a few weeks and be back to full speed business wise then.

Don't hesitate to call or message me with any questions.

Levi

Sorry to hear that. Crazy how things like that can happen with no warning. Hope you heal 100% soon, and don't push it, because you could prevent full recovery!

Hope you feel better levi...

But I have to ask....did you bust a beer bottle over someone head? Because that would be a way cooler story (picture Road House):D

My wife is a PT if you need any info.

Sadly, no awesome road house story involving broken beer bottles, boot knives, or badassery. Just picked up the glass to have a drink and it shattered. One of the few times I'm behaving and I get hurt badly.

I appreciate all the kind words. Been tough wrapping my head around the 3 month recovery time when I'm not entirely sure how the glass shattered. Hoping that's worst case scenario.

Generally thats when horrible crap happens.

Recovery time sounds pretty bad. Thinking about it, its like those stories when people say if such and such would have been 1-2mm from wherever, I'd be dead....

Seems like you caught it just right and got the shaft.

Again, I have no problem showing the wife anything and have her tell you to do this.....I promise whatever she tells you will hurt, I went in for PT on my knee in her dept.....

PT is great if you stick to it and do what they say

^^^ this
Having a trained individual telling you what to do to heal (even if it hurts): good.

However:
Using the hand when a doctor/trained individual says not to (even if it doesn't hurt): not good.

Not saying you wouldn't do this anyway. I just want you to heal right.
I know for sure that if you don't listen, things won't heal quite right, and you will regret it for years. Been there...
