Elon has built it. And I'm trying real hard to not put a down on one.

Not sure how there going to Keep the cost down using stainless steel outer.

It's interesting from a technology standpoint and the alleged claims of how far its supposed to go... Only time will tell though.

I heard from a co worker he tried to put a down on one and they were not taking them, or maybe the system was down???

The system may have been down. I've seen where you can put a deposit down. Going to talk to the wife tonight. Been thinking about and electric car when my Silverado is ready to go in a couple of years. This would really fit the bill and way cheaper than a Rivian.

It'll never go to mass production to be used as a truck looking like that. Mostly just owned by those types who will want it strictly for it's abstract looks to park next to their supercars, bentleys and Mercedes G65. Pitiful approach if he was trying to make something practical for an average joe to use as a pickup, even if it's just a "grocery getter" like most truck owners.

What's the price point? Specs?

I think Elon has lost his mind with this one, that or he just did this to spark conversation and the next truck will be practical...

I agree, this is way over the top. Look like it would make a good door stop for the jolly green giant!!! Stainless body seems very interesting but in an accident I would hate to be the recipient of a collision with that.

I think it’s sweet looking. If never own one. But it’s cool and looks indestructible minus the glass lol I like the bed cover retracts and there’s a ramp built into the tailgate. Looks like a bottom of the line starts at just under 40k. Impressive

Honestly, looks like something you'd see in a sci-fi movie/show from the '70s or '80s.

To me the design is mostly for aerodynamics. Teardrop shape is the best design for that.

I decided hell with it and put a deposit down. Fully refundable so if I change my mind or something better comes out before they ship.
