I know this is probably the billionth time you all have read this, but I bought my 15 Denali with 9,126 miles on it. There is currently 19,461 miles on it and I have yet to add any DEF....is that normal? I drive it with zero load...standing by for the comments haha.

Of note: I bought it from the dealer and it was 100% according to them. I see the DEF tank on the passenger side and I would assume that if it was deleted it would no longer be there and the EGR would be blocked off...which none of that applies.

In not 100% sure of any adverse effects. I "deleted" mine and left the entire egr system along with the uria tank installed for almost 30k miles. I unhooked the 3 sensors but not sure if even that was necessary. Do you have a way to clear codes? You could pull the egr plug and see if it sets a code..if not then you'll know, if it pops a code, plug it back in and clear.

Are you taking it back to the dealer for oil changes? Could be that they are filling it up for you. I know when I bought my 17, all of the fluids are covered by GM for the 24,000 miles and I think DEF is considered part of the oil change.

I am doing my own oil changes on it. I will check the top of the tank and see if that harness is hooked up. I have yet to look under this truck...just new to diesel and haven't taken the time to learn specifics on this crazy EPA added stuff. I have seen delete pictures and the mound of parts associated.

That is your block heater harness. The harness you want to check is under the truck going to the def tank
This^^^

But more specifically, it's a large bale connector style plug. Located above the DEF tank, towards the rear of the tank.

You might also post a picture of your exhaust system. Might help us determine what has been done...

The def can be turned off with everything plugged in with no ill affects, the truck will regen as normal and the scr just does not absorb nox as it becomes saturated it does not plug up. Doubtful yours has had this done add some donky piss to it and see how much it takes, in my experience a unloaded truck will go around 10,000 miles on a full tank try and fill it up i'm betting you can get almost 5 gallons in it if you try hard enough, it will burp and piss it back out on the last gallon or two from full.

Isn't there a def gauge or percentage or something? Or what do the newer trucks have for that?

I have filed my DEF tank in my 15 cummins three times in 24k miles.

Have towed heavy like 10 times, a total of 5500 miles hooked up to a trailer.
