saw a '13 RC 3500HD LT 4wd 130"wb got to drive it as well
6900lb with out me "E" light on dual tanks
6900 +55 gallons (400lb(7.14lbpg) me 200lb, toolbox and hitch 600lb =~8100lb

current setup is 7300lb

not near as peppy or responsive as mine around town..... :eek:
final drive in first gear is almost identical in both trucks 2.48*4.63=11.48 and 3.1*3.73=11.56
i also forgot how LOOSE a stock allison convertor is!! almost 600rpm losser then the stock 4l85 6.5 TC

and 46k OTD is the best they could do.... gues i wait some more... maybe find a '10 and stripe the bed off it or fine a another GMT455 truck and put a 900 body on it :)

My dmax van always seemed a lot peppier in city driving than my lbz truck. Don't think it was the lighter curb weight, because even with the van loaded to over 8K it still seemed quicker off the line.

honestly i have never driven a dmax van... the 4l85 in the truck is unchanged from the 6.5td setup... i do know the 6.5td came with either a 1500 or 1800 stall convertors..
the TC just flat out couples quicker hard then the 1056 i had in my allison did.. and the TC has alot to do with off the line moving

the truck i drove felt like mine did with a 18k trailer on the back and it was empty...
