That's crazy Larry!! Have you seen the buck yet? Rub's are territory markers. He def lives close by. Some Code Blue and a doe decoy could be quite humorous on video!!

Nice Place Larry!

Somehow i could see you hanging a salt lick from that tree and digging a pitfall below it and goin inside and ordering up a box of Maple Bacon in preperation of a meal! :rofl::rofl:

:joker::hug::D

they come in for the acorns, but there will be some corn out this weekend :D

It used to aggravate my neighbors when I'd hang the deer in a tree in my front yard and do the processing there :hehe:

Fortunately, I havent had the "want too's" to go deer hunting this year, getting too old to want to get cold and messy anymore:eek:

I hope you have a bow so you cna have fresh meat for the freezer :D

If he doesn't I will live around the corner soon, and I might be able to sit up on the roof and make about a 30' double lung shot. The only problem would be the blood all over the neighbor's yard, house, cars, whatever might be sitting outside...

Good luck Noreaster, check the pines.

That might have worked if the storm was still going but it was over when I got in the woods at daybreak,they were up & moving around. Came close a couple times but couldn't see them with all the limbs weighed down with snow. Had fresh track, could see where they went into panic mode & took off. 9 days left in the season & Im going to try like hell to harvest something.

I have found in very cold weather the pines will insulate and the area will be warmer. The deer will take advantage of this and bed there.
If your weather is like ours it will be getting very cold the next few days. I would key into a food source were they will be pawing in the snow, then get between the pines and the food source.
If your gun season is still going they will still be in a pressured pattern and may not want to move but in the early hours with lowlight. The cold will force them to find food to sustain energy and warmth. This will make them move in daylight, don't rule out midday when they will get up from a southerly facing location to travel to a northerly facing location following the sun's warmth.
This is probably old info to you but I thought I would pass it on anyhow. Hopefully you'll be having backstraps for Christmas dinner.
