The truck is in my sig. I am getting ready to install the MPI Twins and I need to have my tranny built to handle the power. I already have the 1057 with about 40,000 miles on it. I also already have a co-pilot.

Option #1- have the local ATS shop build tranny and go with a 5 star converter.

Option #2- have the local ATS shop build tranny and keep my 1057.

Option #3- order a Suncoast stage V and get the 1059.

Option #4- order a Suncoast stage V and keep the 1057.

Even if I go with another converter, I will still keep the 1057 and have it freshened up for a later build.

The truck is my daily driver that I occaisonally pull with. I'm looking for a combo that will be good in the 1/8th mile.

Thanks for your help.

I would keep the 1057. Probably doesn't really matter which trans you go with.

TC.. sthall is gettign loose and the TCC torque convertor clutch is sliping.. or the TC wont hold the engine back.. ie stahling higher than normal.

the TC doesnt have a direct result in how clutches engage..

know if you damage the clutch packs.. it would be a good idea to min flushh the TC to make sure there is no cltuch materail in the TC or damage to it.

Looks like I will be calling Suncoast in the morning. I may have them flush the TC but I have never limped the tranny so it should be good. Thanks for all the help!
