This tune is my new daily driver tune. It is very smooth with minumum smoke. It pulls pretty hard up top, and holds rail pressure better than my other tune even with the added pulsewidth. It also has a NICE turbo spool-up in the BURB with lots of whistle from her at mid throttle. I don't think a stock trans will like it any though. Works on late 02-04 OS's.

I don't have a stock 15186006 OS, but just looking through vs. my tune, and it looks very similar. Great minds think alike? If it runs like mine (and it appears it would), then I agree 100% about being really smooth. x2 for no stock trans (or do what I do and avoid 5th)

Thanks for sharing!

I've got a built trans, so no worries there:D. This tune has been a real keeper for me. It fuels nice up top and comes in nicely without blacking things out. It is almost as strong as a PPE level 6 I tried awhile back, but without all of the smoke and turbo lag. Although I do miss being able to black cars out tailgating me, but I'll take the more responsive tune anyday.

Just put a little over 2K miles on her over the last 10 days and seen 22+ running 70 on the cruise with this tune, 75 dropped it down to about 20 though. Averaged over 18 hauling a trailer to Savannah which I thought was pretty good, and even my heavy foot didn't seem to drop it too badly. Heres my current tune with the 600 idle and some rail pressure changes I made.

My daily driving tune is my economy tune that Harley (Georgia Diesel) made for me. It does great for fuel miledge if im easy on the throttle. But it has plenty of power to go also. I beat a 2002 Mustang GT from a 40 roll with my economy tune lol. He was pissed when he knows I have 4 more tunes that would CRUSH him.:thumb:

did all 2001 trucks have the same os? im trying to figure out what my original os is. I cant pull the tune out of mine because I believe it has a small tune of some sort on it and it says its locked.

No, they all went to the same OS# if they were udated, but they did not all come with the same OS from the factory. If it says locked, then it could have been tuned, then flashed by GM, which I believe leaves an 01 ECm in a locked state. 01's are tricky to tune to say the least. I go to the 6006 02 OS in ALL 01-02 trucks I have tuned.

ok. I did notice that when in the tune tool I clicked on show calibration details, it showed me the os but the only thing in the vin box was a "(". and the bbc was some other sort of weird symbol. I was found on here that no good. but it wasn't a bunch of jibberish, mostly blank. what all fuses should I be pulling to do this? on my other truck I never had to pull any, and it worked most of the time

I just tried this tune today and it is very smooth. The power comes up so smooth it almost masks just how strong of a tune it really is. I never once saw any smoke either and the fuel mileage is looking encouraging. The only thing I changed was the fuel pressure table which is based on a LMM rail pressure table. Has anyone ever dyno'd this tune? Feels like it could be in the 120-150 range give or take. One of yellowchevy's ported stock turbo's would really compliment this tune.

Not sure on the power output, the one time I was inline to dyno it, the dyno broke. My current tune is a good bit hotter now, so I'm not up to dyno this one anymore. IIRC this was a good running tune, I just got the bug and had to step it up some. I always figured it was right in the neighborhood of where a stock trans would hate life if you got on it real hard(I know an 1850 pulse with 55% timing can limp a stock trans, this one was at 1950 and 55% IIRC). So probably in the 100-120 HP range, but then again I'm normally accused of under estimating.
