I'm sorry but I have problems with posts like this. You are making a generalization that all forged piston will last 10-15k on the street. There hasn't been a ton of DD forged piston trucks to quantify that sort of thing.


As Jeff posted it will make a difference on what piston is used.

Mahle VS ROSS/ARIAS would be different as the are different metal

I would think a Mahle would be ok,but do think Nick has a good GEUSStimation on ring life. I dont think they will do damage or weld together like Wade posted from my experiance. But the mahles ive heard have done well for many miles

Wasn't a dig at Nick or anything. We just can't make generalizations that's all :hug:

yeah I'm starting to think that when I tear it down I'm going with cut and coated cast pistons...I know guy sells them in .040 over with valve pockets but dont know of many others right off
