Mark,

I see that you guys posted an LML Turbo (DPLMLVGT) and was curious is that a straight drop in or are there modifications that need to be made? CP4 to CP3 conversation for fuel depletion, bigger injectors etc? Basically looking for more performance out of my 15 as a DD and 5th wheel hauler. Would you also recommend the 65/68mm?

Yeah I tried that but they weren't very knowledgeable on this new turbo and Mark was busy.

I did and hope to hear from him today or Monday. I know it a hybrid turbo so just had a few questions that the other folks couldn't answer.

I just wrote an email wondering as well.. i spoke with him a bunch about the 68mm Stg2r on the LML's being a problem since EFiLive basically just got what they needed out to get money in their pockets and really isn't supporting the software much... there are tables missing for the vane setup on the LML's which seems to make the turbo not work as well as it should.. I am debating now on a s475 over stocker just because of this headache.. but if this turbo works out well i might try to do this instead.

Let me know if you hear anything back as I'm interested in how this performs and compatibility in the LML in regards to EFILive -

On LML trucks, there is still some tuning to do. EfiLive is missing some tables to allow the LML's to work properly with aftermarket VGT turbo's. Mark is working hard on a fix. We hope to be able to add these turbo's to the LML's soon.

Is it possible that the ez lynk tuning might have more tables than efi to make the bigger vgt turbo run correctly ? I want a 68mm stg2r bad but from what I see it's a hit or miss.

The Still Master
I combed the hex and found a hand full of missing tables, none of which seem to do much even on a stock charger.

The temp add-on vane % and cold start tables won't make much difference.

The open loop vane tables stop at 50mm3 and above that not much is known about how the ecm controls the turbo.

For now not much has changed, I still field calls every week asking me if I want to take a stab again at an aftermarket VGT on these............NO is my answer.

I technically have three offerings for the LML right now that have been working without issues. I have a TCT61mmStg1LML that is drop in replacement even on a completely stock truck and works great. Even on a completely untouched truck it makes a big improvement in its topend power and towing power with 0 negative effect on anything else. My current favorite is the Billet 2.5Stg1 LML which is also a drop in replacement and has the same stock driveability but has the ability to make 600-650hp range with the normal add ons. We currently have this one on our shop truck and I have used it to tow my truck to several events and absolutely love it. Ours is stock with a lift pump and an Exergy Stroker cp4, CAI and exhaust with egr deleted and dpf but still has the converter in place and dynos 585hp 1050ftlbs. The biggest that I currently offer is a 65mm Stg2 LML and it has the stg2 whistle and will produce up to 700hp and works with your current tuning also. So far we have not had a single issue with this line up and everyone that has installed one is extremely happy with the results of them. I'm having a hard time with the supply so I won't be putting them on the website just yet.

Unfortunately no not yet. I need too but it's a big pain in the ass and I just haven't had the time to devote to it and I'm also waiting to see what happens when Trump gets in office and starts cleaning up the mess...:D

I saw these posted up on the website and thought I'd bring this back to the top.

Mark, I'm looking at either the 2.5 stg 1 or the BMW 65mm stg 2. Is there any noticeable difference in spool up between the two and can you give some feedback on how they spool compared to stock?

Thanks!

The core charge of $300. will be refunded to you when we get your good core back. This is a great replacement turbo that will make up to 600hp on stock injectors with a pump upgrade and does everything the same as the stock turbo only better! The BMW 65mmStg2 is a good kick in the pants compared to the 2.5 and has the stg2 whistle everyone loves.

What kind of "pump" would you recommend Mark?

If you aren't going over 800hp then the Exergy Stroker CP4 is the perfect pump as it doesn't require a kit to install it or special tuning to keep it happy either. I've been running it for almost 2 years now on my truck and on Tony B's LML as well with out issues.:thumb:
