So I'm pulling the trigger on a Danville 72, also gonna do a 3"y bridge and cold side pipe while we're in there. Any heads ups or stuff to watch out for?

haha ive been saving this $$ for awhile and figured it was time to give my truck sum lovin since its finally paid off :woott:
I've got a buddy here in Texas that is selling his 72 for 2300. Has less than 1000 miles on it let me know

now I'm hearing stories though of this turbo not performing well and egts of 2000+ at the end of a quarter mile run????? Any info would be great guys! It will be on a stock injector/cp3 lbz

Lol yes it's willies. I'm running it and I haven't seen over 1600 yet all the way to 120mph. That's on my biggest tune with 80 overs. I'm gonna do a few runs today and ill video it for you if you want to show you the egts and drive pressure on mine. Willies with the s483 over it drive pressure was 1:1.
I think there's better turbos out there for stock fueling. I went from a Danville 72 to an s472 and LOVE the s472 alot more.
Who's 80 overs and what uS? Everyone I have spoke with running 11 seconds worth of fuel was hitting 2k+ on egts. Now my 467 won't crack 1350* with even more fuel commanded....
Extrude honed injectors. 2450us. I've upped the pulse width to 2650us and I'm hitting right around 1550-1650. I need twins! It's pretty smokey with 40psi. I upped the boost to 48-50 psi and it cleaned it up quite a bit but I'm not liking the drive pressure with that much boost. Mark said it still wasn't that bad for me having Completely stock heads.
