Just curious what you guys would think is a better dd/track truck setup a danville 72 over an 80 twin set up or a big single s468 on stock fueling for now until injectors get done

How often do you tow and how much do you tow? That's what I would use as the main factor in deciding. Either way I probably wouldn't do the Danville 72 VGT, I think there are better options out there nowadays.

I really wanna try a 468. So id say 468 and tuning from Broviak. 468's are supposed to have great street manners and will give your bottom end plenty of love. JMO

I wasn't impressed with my DP 72vgt until I twinned it with a S483. Love the setup now. Response is great. Drivability is nice and easy until the S483 spools up

I think you have a good point, has anyone seen Steve's LLY. Trojan366?
He runs that set up with Marks tunes. That truck is bad!!

Guys, I have a S468-83 .90 on my truck right now and I am lost as to what you guys think is so great about them??? This turbo is 3mm bigger than my 3794 and the turbine is quite a bit bigger and I didn't gain the power and loss of drive pressure that everyone raves about. EGT's are down in the areas that the power is down, go figure! They are 10hp difference but the torque is down and with the torque being down so is the driveability. Truck now smokes and I had to retune the tcm to make it more user friendly. My wife loved driving my truck with the 3794 on it and now she won't at all, say it sucks.

Mark, how would you compare it to the 468/87?

Not really sure but the way it is with the 83 I'm not sure the 87 will make it any better. You have to flow x amount of cfm to get it to do something and it's not magic. Build motor with injectors would obvious make a big difference but I am just talking about stock motor comparison on stock sticks. I'm about to drop it the an S363-68 T4 and see how it acts for comparison.

OOO I really want to hear results on this. Buddy has one on the shelf and is worried about it on his stock motor stock fuel lb7, especially since we are at 5250 elevation

Don't get a VVT for performance IMO.

Lol really? I made almost 1000hp with a VGT in the valley and it runs awesome. It wasn't out of fuel or air but that is just where we stopped to help keep the trans alive. Made 80#'s boost to 90#'s drive pressure. 100% driveable, actually just took a 1400 mile trip to Florida and it was like driving a stock truck around.

I hate seeing you post stuff like this cause not long ago,
you were asking and stating tons of stupid crap all the time and now all the sudden you know everything about how a "performance" build should be done.
