I had the pleasure of talking/watching his truck pull and bull sheetin alot with danny. Really down to earth and good dude. He was 28. The story I was told was they had all been drinking and danny got ejected out of the vehicle. Danny was not the wheel man. Sad sad sad for sure.

S.R. 161 Reopens In Madison County After Fatal Crash
Posted: Nov 28, 2013 6:50 AM EST Updated: Nov 28, 2013 8:23 AM EST
By: Carl Bohart - email

MORROW COUNTY, Ohio -

State Route 161 has reopened just outside of Plain City after a fatal crash near Kile-Warner Road.

Investigators tell NBC4 there were five people inside the truck when the crash occurred at 12:45 a.m. Thursday.

The group had left a bar in Plain City when the driver, 22-year-old Jacob Bluhm, lost control and flipped the truck.

Daniel Toops, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Rick Thompson, 23, was taken to The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries.

Bluhm, and two of his passengers, Tiffany Eye, 22, and David Thompson, 25, were taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital with minor injuries.

S.R. 161 was closed for nearly six hours, and investigators said they believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash. It appears the story I heard was correct. :(

Very sad to hear...too young. Condolences to all of his friends and family.

Another grim reminder of how important seat-belts and sober-driving are......... :(
