This might be a ridiculous thread for some of you guys but others will definitely understand where I'm coming from. My truck has been under the knife a ton in the past two years and it seems like every time we get it together and things are looking up the next weak link pops up and puts me out of service. This winter I had HSP twins installed with some fresh chargers from Danville. I also bought a complete billet Suncoast trans from Chavis and a new converter from Goerend. Within 24 hours of the truck being reassembled I drove just about 2000 miles round trip to Myrtle Beach and back making stops on the way. I drove the truck for a bit and had a chance to get on the dyno (876/1350ish) but my trip to the track was cut short when I popped a boot at the 300 foot mark. Just this month Chris put a set of brandy new 100 overs in it and things are looking up. The new tunes are great and the truck runs flawlessly. Hopefully I'm not shooting myself in the foot but I'm finally getting some miles on the truck and couldn't be happier. Like I said, some of you guys won't understand. But for those of you with heavily built truck, you know exactly what I mean about finally getting things right. I just hope the next dyno day gets me a 4 digit hp badge and I can put her in the tens at the track. Then I will just end it all since I will have nothing else to live for hahaha

Edit: I suppose I should also give a big thanks to everyone here. Without this forum I think I would still have an Edge juice with attitude and a slipping trans.

they always say, "when it rains, it pours!"

I don't have mods like you, but I understand the frustration as I deal with it in another hobby. Stay positive, hopefully all those little things are behind you! :thumb:

That's why I hesitate every time I modify something. I'm not nearly as heavily modded as you, but once you leave a "stock" truck behind, aren't we all gambling with reliability?

Like you I'm glad I have the wonder resources found here at my fingertips to ask questions, some dumb and some not so dumb. Makes all the growing pains easy (don't we all have the same problem of our wallets getting lighter lol?).

I'm glad you posted this. Just shows that even with the best of plans, there is always something else that will need tweaking or upgrading, but eventually, once you have the power level where you want it, those bugs will be all worked out. You will be happy, and I will still be jealous:thumb:

Kudos my friend, you are in a rare league of fine dmax owners, and I'm just hoping to be a member of that club one day should the money tree ever bloom:hug::angel:

I think I have about 12,000 miles on my motor and the trans was my only major issue. I've had dumb stuff(some of which was my fault) like overspeeding the charger with nitrous and doing some things multiple times instead of doing it right the first time. Now I'm going to try and keep it in one piece and actually enjoy it.

That one I did in front of Justin's house might go down as the best I've ever done. 5 gears on rev limiter and 90+mph road speed after I let out of it. Too bad it was dark and I didn;t get it on camera.

I've had my truck for 3 years this July and I've put about 30,000 miles on it it's always down. Have been running a pushed cup\head gasket for almost 2 years now. Over 500 hp about to do studs and a TCT 475 single and I smoked my clutch at a pull and messed up my caltrac threads. So now I have to fix that to. BTW replacement caltrac bars are only 35 bucks just an FYI they can cut you any length. So I know how you feel and when it is running it's only 500 hp not 900:(
