LB7: cylinder #7 injector flow rate is +7.

After motor rebuild. i have had some issues with an injector #7 reading +7.00 area. so i tore it apart and bought a new one and its still reading the same thing with new nozzles too!. i hear a little knocking once it is warmed up or driven for awhile. only in drive sitting still. goes away when you touch the throttle.

Any ideas what it could be? i also had the old injector check and it was fine. so i cant see it being an injector. i am gonna do a comp. test on that cyl. this weekend when i have time.

Bet it hydrolocked and bent the rod

i have had injectors out three times sense motor was built. the first time i pulled them out was because four of them were bad,i have video of injector rates and #7 was fine. i buy four new ones and all new .60 nozzles. and everything was fine except #7 so i pulleded #7 again and replaced it cause i figured another injector went bad. but no still reading high after it warms up and the knocking sound that u can barley hears comes when it reads high +5.90 to +6.00 and up.

Check the balance rates with a TECH II first. theres a report over on EFILIVE's site about some problems with the LB7's reading the wrong injector like the LLY does.

You might want to check the valve adjustment. It can be off enough to make it do that.

What should they be adjusted to I might try and do it my self.

.012 or .011 i believe

thanks guys. i am going to pull them apart and put 3 more injectors in that bank so they are all new and ill adjust the valves at same time.
