I'm tired of replacing axles because of failed neoprene boots. GM used to use thermoplastic, but got cheap and went back to neoprene. I know mine were 14 years old and still good when I made the mistake of changing them out for new neoprenes. GM stopped selling the thermoplastic boots, but this company sells them. They don't list boots for the 01+ trucks, but I think they're the same boots as the 88-00 gmt-400's boots are which they do list. I've read others saying they've bought these boots over 10 years ago, and they're still good on highly lifted trucks.

Well poped another CV axle out of the joint again. Same place as last time. I'm guessing I need a 1" spacer to replace the 1/2" one in there now

Was on a back country road about 50 miles from home getting on a ferry and it popped. Pulled it apart once I get to the other side so I could get home

If only I had a lathe. I'd make it in a heart beat
