Cv axle replacement question

Replaced the cv axles today in my 07 classic. Job went smooth until I got everything back together and went to double check I torqued everything and noticed that the hub end of the cv axles are different not the passenger side vs the drivers side. I didn't notice it when I installed them since everything went so smoothly. I'm wondering if there was a design chance at some point and one axle was manufactured at a different time then the other? I got them from napa and the part numbers are the same on both. It was too late to call them by the time I was done but the part number I got was the only number listed for that year and body style truck. The top picture of the cv matches the factory one I removed and the second one is the odd ball. Seems to drive fine but haven't put it in four wheel till I figure out if it's a problem. Has anyone run across this, or have any idea why they might be different?

They should both be the same that's why it's odd. They both measure the same and seem to fit the same yet they have different hub ends don't get it

That's kinda what I thought I just want to make sure they are indeed the same or maybe have them get another factory style shaft and switch the odd one out. Too bad it's Sunday and they aren't open

Found a napa that was open and switched out the shaft for the correct one. They didn't have an explanation why it would have had the same part number but different design. Maybe boxed wrong or different year shaft who knows.
