Anyone had to cut or bang in the rear side of the wheel well on a classic body tuck? Ive seen where ppl have cut and widened the nbs and welded it back up. Wonder if theres something i can do in the average garage that will open it up not not look retarded

Yessir, I've got as big as a 35" tall tire on a classic with 2" drop shackles and lowered torsion bars. If done right people wont even tell any cutting was done.

I can send you a couple pics if you PM me. Not sure how much they will help though...you can't see where I cut as the fender liner covers it up.

Google the NorCal Nick fender mod. It is a very similar procedure for that. Someone did a detailed write up with pics on that a while back.

I thought about doing a write up on how I did mine but I can't seem to find time to do anything. I ran 35's last year with the front down. I plan on trying these 325/60/18 this year. They barely rub at full lock and they r wide as hell. The problem I have now is the windshield washer resy has a hole from the 35's hitting it.

I cut the flare and all on mine. I've had this truck almost 6 yrs. and 35's never rubbed my flare till this past yr. I'd say my tbars are weak, I have a new set but the ones on the truck arent coming out without a torch, I almost done and said piss on it.

I saw where a guy on DF cut his NBS up the side of the fender and welded it back up. You may have to do that in order to take the flare holes back farther from the tire to make it look right.

Not gonna cut anything. Gonna just live with it.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1368559859.768811.jpg To close as it sits for anything small and non noticeable to work.

I cut a small chunk off of the inside of the flair, idk if yours is the same, but my flare stuck almost an inch farther off the actual metal body down there.
