Same with Evan @Limitless and the HSP crew, all hours of the day weekends included, always willing to answer a text or call if they are not busy.

I don't know how Mark at Danville does it! I can't even imagine the phone calls and emails he receives a day. I have nothing but good things to say about Mark and his staff.

I have also received great service from Jason Wehrli, HSP, Rick at Profab, Socal diesel, Nick and Bob at Duramaxtuner, Levi at Turbo performance.

All the guys I deal with have good customer service or I just don't buy from them again. Sometimes it is how you present yourself to them as well that determines how well they treat you as well. Exergy has great customer service as well. The guy you were talking about a c ting like he just didn't care really is a good guy. He came across that way to me in the beginning as well and I let Randy know how I felt about that. Many times it is someone that works there that makes the customer feel like he just doesn't matter. Don't hesitate to let the owner know how you feel if someone treats you rudely.

Harvey at Exergy was a huge help to me when DTT tried to screw me over. Super nice helpful guy for what was going on.

X2 buddy! I go out of my way to try and make sure that this never happens in my shop but it does happen every now and then. We all have our bad days, we are human. I try to do everything in my power to make customers happy but somedays that isn't good enough unfortunately. I do my best everyday. I do appreciate my customers!

Evan and Mike both are fantastic with customer service. I felt terrible for calling them on Saturdays. But some of the most down to earth guys ive ever talked to on the phone. You can throw Andrew from Suncoast in there as well.

Still the single most hilariously funny moment of my years in this hobby was you running my truck on your dyno.
Your and Matt's expressions after that first pull were priceless. :roflmao:

Kind of funny reading some of the posts. A few of the good guys mentioned I have had terrible service from. There are also a few bad guys that have treated me alright. I just don't understand not keeping the customers happy in the service industry. They are the ones paying your wages.

Moved here.

I also have had nothing but good things to say about Mark and his staff at Danville. Excellent to deal with. Levi @ Turbo Performance is another top shelf vendor along with Mike L.

For the most part we try to keep the Vendors on this site to only ones that the admins and mods feel can be trusted to supply a good product or service and also support it after. Also those that are positive contributors to Diesel Performance on the whole is a consideration. The ones that are just out there to look out for themselves and push parts are the ones we avoid bringing on board. We don't allow just anyone to be a paying vendor here and that's why we feel the vendors on board here are some of the best in the business and best to trust to buy from for your needs. As Pat and Kat have said before, they don't make money from the paying vendors or from the site. They are just enthusiasts like the rest of us.

If anyone has issues, we encourage them to notify the staff before dragging it out through the forum so we can try to help them reach a resolution.

Tough situation. The big name shops field so many BS phone calls and deal with know it alls and tire kickers and I can see how eventually they would grow weary of people that didn't seem worth their time. HOWEVER that is their burden to bear and part of the game when you market yourself in the sales game. It's their duty to step up and treat every person as if their order is important to them. I personally think small shops are likely to give more personalized service. Josh Harris at Top Notch Garage is one example that comes to mind. Josh is friendly, quick with honest answers, and as helpful as he can be. He runs his entire shop by himself and still does not resort to giving excuses. He will often answer his phone when his hands are covered in coolant or oil and he will respond to text or call back at night or during his lunch hour. His dedication and willingness to help are very obvious

I couldn't have said it better! We give it our all to make sure everyone is happy! It's amazing to me when I call someone back rather it be the same day or the next day that I hear, "Thanks for calling me back, I appreciate it." It shouldn't be a shock to people that they receive a call back IMO. - Dave

I do alot of business with Merchant Auto, some of the best customer service I have had. Same goes to Mark and the crew at Danville. I know exactly what you mean with exergy, pretty rude if you are not a dealer or a big name in the game
.

I hung up on the asshole from Exergy. Ill never do business with them. I needed a replacement injector and he was so rude and short. Really pissed me off after hearing online about how great they are.

Airdog has been fantastic, same with Merchant.

Mark, Evan and Mike are the only ones who I've dealt with on this forum and have nothing but good to say about them. Mark has never met me but still sent me a turbine housing for my turbo for free trusting me I'd send my other one back to him. I was in a bind waiting for a billet p2 planet for my trans, suncoast was out for Christmas break and wouldnt have any made for another 3 weeks..Evan pulled the billet p2 out of his personal trans and overnighted it to me cross country in exchange that mine from suncoast was sent to him when it was finished. Mike hooked me up with his shift springs and a bunch of tech advice on my new trans build. Evan was right there with the tech advice as well. You just can't beat that.

I almost hung up on a guy from fleece last week. He treated me like I was 12 years old and a total waste of his time when I was asking about dpf delete tuning and other mods for a customers 2014 cummins. I stayed civil but am ordering it all from Hardway Performance as they treated me with respect... I was planning on dealing with Fleece for everything but the trans on said customers 800 hp build but I don't think that's happening now. That being said I have dealt with fleece in the past and have been very happy, I just think some employees need some customer relations training!

Just wondering if I am the only one having these type of issues or if it becoming way more common. Seems I have to beg to buy parts and items way to often anymore. I work in a job were talking on the phone or phone calls are hard to accommodate. Email and pm are easier to fit in the schedule when I have a few minutes. Seems so many places won't take the time to get back to you about purchasing or tech info on their products. I don't understand it. My money is as good as anybody else's. Somebody asks me a question I do my best to give a respons in timely manner. It is just the curtious thing to do. If you don't have a good answer at least respond saying that. Some places have some specialized products that I would love to buy. I hate giving business to people that don't care about you. I wish I was doing well enough to turn away business. I guess I am just getting frustrated. I am trying to line things out for a project and it isn't going near as well as I was hoping. Sorry to vent.

I know some of this is directed at me. I don't do well with PM's because it usually turns into 10 more PM's and after that there are still questions that are not answered where as a 5 minute phone call could give you more answers than you ever expected.
Many times I have found that what a customer is looking for, he really doesn't need.

I wonder if some merchants have issues with selling parts by email. To many tire kickers being a waste of time to actually trying to sell you what you really need verses what you might want, in some cases. Then there's the translation factor that sometimes can be there and lost you waste more time trading emails that a less then 5 min conversation on the phone could take care of it.

Now if its after the sale? Different story

I'm just saying

Amen on Exergy! I will be sure to avoid them and have my friends avoid them as well. They may or may not have a good product but if you can't get through a 5 minute phone call about a $4,500 set of injectors with getting pissed, I think there may be better options. Cough Cough DDP!!!

I also had good service from Airdog. I bought one of their original units in 07-08 and had the motor go out a couple of years back and they sent a new motor in short order. In fact I don't think I had even sent in the warranty card on my unit.
