I don't know if is correct this thread here but here we go...
There are a lot of cummins guy very happy with the efi live and cummins but i have I question, For tune a cummins engine is necessary a new Efi live V2 ? I mean, if a have any V2 tuner is just necessary buy the new license or buy the whole new stuff ?

FlashScan V2 had a circuit board modification 2 years ago to support the Cummins SCI trucks (2003-5). The change in hardware is noted by the colour of the FlashScan device.

Black FlashScan V2's are capable of supporting all GM supported vehicles, along with CAN based Cummins vehicles, 2006+ (NOTE at this point only 2006-2009 vehicles are supported)

Blue FlashScan V2's are capable of supporting all of the above, plus 2003-5 SI based Cummins vehicles.

If your FlashScan device is enabled for GM vehicles, you will need to purchase the Cummins Tuning option from our store to gain access to Cummins tuning. The Cummins Tuning option ships with 2 VIN licenses so you can tune 2 supported vehicles with your purchase.

Cindy, if I wanted to upgrade my V1 to support gm and Cummins vehicles... What is the cost of that?

There are a couple of different ways this could be done. I guess what works best for you will depend on your circumstances.

The V1 to V2 upgrade is $499, which would give you the ability to duplicate the licenses on your V1 onto your V2, plus get 2 additional VIN licenses on your new V2. Given you purchased your product to tune GM vehicles, the GM Tuning Option would be enabled on your new V2.
You'd then need to purchase the Cummins Tuning Option for $450 which would also ship with 2 additional VIN licenses (so you'd have a total of 4 new VINs to tune 4 new vehicles. Total cost is $950

You could also consider not upgrading your V1 and just purchase a V2 with both GM and Cummins Tuning options. This would cost $1299 and ship with 4 VIN licenses.

The third option is the cheapest. You could keep your V1 for GM and just purchase the V2 for Cummins which would cost $899. You could always add GM Tuning at a later stage.
