well if they wanna do that shit i think it might be time to move south they already banned so much crap here in ct then my tax money can go to somethign better
Yup and I have never run into a situation when I was hunting where I needed more. Well, maybe when I was shooting gophers but that was with .22 rim fire long rifle.
Not sure why people need to arm themselves like Rambo "in case shit goes down". I've never seen the need anywhere I have lived. Maybe I have just been fortunate to never be fearful enough for my personal safety that I would need/want more than 5 rounds in anything.
It's one thing to be a firearm enthusiast but really-you guys are bitching cause they only want you to have 10 rounds in a magazine????? Just be happy y'all can carry a sidearm with or even on you in alot of states down there-cuz you can't up here. You can only transport it to/from a range or service shop. Talk about a PIA!!
Mind you, give them an inch and they will take a mile right? Next thing you know you will only be allowed to carry a cork gun-with a max of 5 rounds lol!
The problem is the government has no such power to regulate to this extent. I feel sorry for you canadians that let your government have so much power over your individual rights.
And as I've said a million times before, criminals by definition do not follow the law, any law against our individual rights only affects those who follow it.
It isn't a want or need type of thing. It's idea the misguided, uninformed, and over-reaching actions by stupid people in government really don't solve anything in cases like this. All it does is make them, their chronies, and their equally stupid supporters all warm and fuzzy inside that they "did something."
There is a reason the "assualt weapons ban" of '94 wasn't renewed. Because it was dumb.
Will my life change if I can only have 10 round mags? No not really. Range time won't be quite as fun though. This however does not mean I will support nonsense such as this proposed legislation if it comes my way.
That and if I turned in all my 20 and 30 round mags, the people at the turn-in station would poop themselves and I'd probably end up on a bunch of "lists":joker:
I wonder if that would apply belt-fed guns? It isn't REALLY a magazine ...
I agree. I don't think state to state differences in regulations do a bit of good to control what people have as far as legal/illegal firearms, ammo, etc. The state you live in might outlaw guns all together but if the neighboring state doesn't, there is no way to keep the flow of the firearms from entering. Like you said, criminals don't follow the law!
That's the difference in Canada, gun regulations are country wide and federally enforced. So if it's illegal, unless it was already in the country when whatever law was passed, it most likely has to cross over an international border which is a little more difficult then say provincial borders which have no security-much like many of the states and counties don't.
Personally, I see it as the Federal Government in Canada looking out for the well being of all it's citizens more-so than controlling or taking away our rights. The line between freedom and personal rights and protecting the common interest and well being of the general public is a fine line. Can't make everyone happy either.........
If it takes u more then 10 rounds to hit your target u probably shouldn't be shooting a gun:roflmao:

Most states have limits on how much a magazine can hold when hunting. For shotguns, it's 3 rounds? or 5 rounds? depending.
Shooting for pleasure is best done with hi-cap mags. There are few things as sweet as lighting up a 1973 Buick Skylark with a FN-FAL (.308) with 20 rnd mags (the only mags made), or 7.62x39 AK with 30 rnd banana mags.
I can tell you this, hiding behind a car like you see in the movies is pretty stupid...
